FUNDRAISING EVENT AT BIJAPUR

The Gana Madhurya program stared at 5.45 pm at the Kandagal Rang Mandir Bijapur.  When the program commenced, only a small number of members assembled.  Later, around more than five hundred audiences attended this event.  The event began with a prayer song by Lingaraj and his group.  After, Mr. Babu Hipparagi invited the guests to the stage. Program started at 5:45 Inaugurated by Shri D C Rajappa (Superintendent of Police Bijapur) Chief Guest Shri Chandrasheker Koutagi District President of BJP.              Shri Siddu Pujari, Executive Director of Power Organization. Pramodkumar, Deshpande Foundation Hubli. Welcome and distributed bouquet of flower to all guests by all fellows.

Program started by prayer song. Flock song by Shabbir Dhange classical music by lady singer and dance, comedy dialoged by Pankaja, totally more than 500 audiences gathered in the Gan Madhury program. Audience enjoyed a lot and in between claps and vestals by audience. Till 9:30 pm program ended. But we could not imagine this much audience this is first time in my life. At ending the program we shared our experience on the stage in front of audience this program conducted by fellows, we have taken this much risk and responsibility it is help to our future but we are helping to Jai Gurudev Orphan School children because everyone help to the school we politely announced and Irann took one box and he went among the audience he collected Rs 3500 from audience totally this is wonderful experience for us. Gadag Betgeri is one of the most important on silk blended  for cotton and production center for cotton and silk blended fabrics and traditional sarees this place occupies a prominent position in the development of handlooms in Karnataka with a set of highly skilled weavers. The Government of India have set up a cluster development center at Gadag. The cluster assists the local weavers in acquiring high quality raw material, upgraded dyeing, Testing faculty and common weaving center which in turn helps producing high quality fabrics suitable of export quality products the uniqueness about Gadag is the production of Gaadidhadi, Chikiparas and paras saree which are blends of cotton and silk yarns. These sarees are very popular in North Karnataka and Maharashtra region. The borders have three to four lines of vertical designs which resembles the bogies of trains and hence they are locally called GAADI DHADI saree, These are produced by individual weavers,a small manufacturers and co-operative societies.
