He is founder of Samarthanam Trust for Disable. He was born in Bailahongal taluk Belgaum. He has agricultural back ground and joint family. He joined the English medium blind school in Bangalore. When he was six moth kids that time he had lost his eyes he became blind although his junior level chess champion.In 1997, Mahantesh G.K. and two of his friends envisioned an organization to provide opportunities for the deserving, young, and talented children with disability of any form, or from marginalized economic backgrounds.
